Wordly Observations - OMEGLE v. 1

Like the antisocial piece of crap I am, I've been using Omegle for the past few days in hopes of gaining more insight on the way others in different countries live their lives. I've not been disappointed, but here are the most important things I've learned:

- Korean men go "WAO! Do you like DICK?!"
- The USA has much cheaper fuel, produce, and cosmetics than pretty much every other country in the world. BE THANKFUL. Poor suckers pay way over a dollar a liter (if you didn't know, one gallon is over 3.75 liters)
- Almost all people will respond to "Yellow!" with "Blue!"
- Indians say "Ok, Ok" and "Good, good" just like they do in person.
- Chinese people are pretty cool and love to try to improve their English
- 4chan's presence is EXTREMELY strong on the Omegle service
- Everyone loves weed
- No one on earth except the shitty Americans uses AIM. Seriously. No one. Not one person. Even most Americans seem to use MSN.

:P And I type like a man, apparently. It's largely due to coherence, proper punctuation and lack of shorthand. That speaks volumes about the American females that go ":) hi hun" instead of saying "Hello."

I won't buy the new DS or Wii games (this franchise is now owned by Ubisoft) because someone is going to tease me *coughGLENNcoughcough*, but I have really fond memories of the game. :] Particularly when the weather begins cooling down.

It's mega cheap, so I guess I'm going to buy Catz 5 and waste my time playing it for the nostalgia factor (kind of like Sims before it got all crazy) since I'm having a hard time with the game I'm currently playing.

ALSO... What is wrong with the majority of female gamers? They're really rude and either tend to be the Weeaboo type or... Super-douched bro-hoes? I don't get it.
Today is slack off and do nothing other than listen to music day.

I went TWO full days without coffee. While I caved and sped to Burger King for my fix this morning, hopefully, I can go three full days without coffee. It's hard, but as long as I don't buy a bag or jug or drum of coffee beans, I think I'll be able to cut coffee out of my diet. For what it's worth, not drinking coffee is considerably more difficult than quitting the smokes. I used coffee to help me counter the cravings of cigarettes, and now I don't have anything but tea and water to turn to. FUN, right? If I'm not careful with the tea, I can easily drink just as much caffeine as I would be drinking if I were sipping coffee instead. Courtesy Celestial Seasonings Morning Thunder, of course. I specifically selected that tea to help wean me off of such high levels of caffeine (900mg+) but it doesn't do much good if you drink five cups of that stuff either. Ah well. Soon! I only have one more bag of that particular tea, but, like many of you, I have an entire cabinet chock full of various herbal "teas" and regular white/green/black teas. English breakfast tea is pretty good, but my favorite is always going to be genmai-cha... NEITHER OF THOSE HAVE ENOUGH CAFFEINE TO MAKE ME HAPPY!

I just found a seersucker dress on e-bay. Lawlz. Seersucker fabric is just about as badass as old-school clothes get. It's both tacky and superemely comfortable, and somehow never fails to charm this critical Kirry. I guess the fact that my dad told me people used to wear seersucker suits when he was in high school also helps with the amusement factor. Snrrt. My dad is the best liberal old man ever. Last weekend he told me he used to have a pair of gold Krueger claws. HAHA! Wtf?!

Blahblahblah...

eBay has been feeding me candy for some reason. I've found NOTHING but deals this week. I'm both irked and elated.

Since I'm actually taking an English class, I feel like informing the interwebs that I've identified a few major flaws in my writing, none of which are fixable overnight (except overzealous use of ellipses, but this is the INTERNET, so I can use them here). The worst of these flaws is that my tone is almost always weak and "young." I'll attribute the juvenile tone to the fact that I never took high school English seriously (since it was a joke, after all) so I never really developed my formal writing skills. It's both frustrating and upsetting, but today I can view it as a challenge rather than a critical flaw that can never be fixed. I guess the first thing to do about this particular issue is to READ more... It's not like I don't read most of the time, but I guess I need to revisit some classics to get a better idea of how to improve my writing.

Woke up to a frozen gallon of milk.

Shamefully, I tried to stuff it in the microwave to accelerate the thawing process, but it wouldn't fit.

Eating three cups of DRY bran flakes is about as desperate as it gets.

Cameras
Panasonic Lumix LX-3
Canon S90

Glenn and I are trying to find a camera for our winter holiday gift-giving time... We'll be splitting the cost.

I've been hunting for men's rings too. I like Dora rings the most at this point... If anyone has any opinions on men's rings, I'd love to hear them.

I just read something absolutely hilarious, and it made me realize that I'm a terrible person.

Happily, I am with my Buu-Man, so my atrocious character is locked up and may NEVER surface in the future.

I'm supposed to be writing a paper that I don't really care about. I'm currently annoyed with the BOYS R SO GRATER THAN GURLZ argument, so I was thinking I'd discuss why internalized-sexism is infinitely more destructive than misogyny here in the United states.

If I could bear it, I'd discuss how gang rape her in US differs from gang rape in every country in Africa, but I don't think I can do that at this point in my life. It'll be an interesting paper though, if I can ever make my way through it.

Maybe how US differs from Asian marketing/advertising.

Eh. I hate writing.

Glenn woke me up to go see Zombieland or whatever the f*ck it's called. I hate going to see movies in theaters. ;_; I want to like it, but it's just a horrible experience, every time. Let us not forget the creep factor of a ton of people doing the exact same thing at once.

I have class later and I'm planning on going to take my quiz and gtfo. I hate missing class, but I got like three hours of sleep and I make a point to sleep in on school days so I can actually THINK. You know, instead of drooling on my planner and twitching.

Have been listening to Arai Akino incessantly. Wonderful voice. According to Wikipedia, she is or will be turning 50 this year. Amazing.

OH YEAH. You know how hipsters/beatniks/wtf like to do things to be ironic? That's why I'm using an asterisk in f*ck today. :]

"Saw" this on Reddit a couple weeks ago:

... I'm sure ALL of you can see what that says. If I tilt my monitor I can make out that there is a difference between some of the dots, but I can't really make it out...

...Unless I do this

I learned I was partially colorblind last year when I was looking at the book full of Ishihara plates and stopped, confused; suddenly there was nothing in the circle of colors I could see. :o

I have a hard time with purple and blue too... Most of the time I'll see something that is blue but other people will tell me it's purple, and then tell me I am being crazy. :X ALSO, I have a problem with red... Most red things I see are too light for me to consider them RED, but really more like a shitty looking pink/magenta. A good example is any red ink used in a text book. That shit isn't red. IT IS PINK. You're an asshole!
